Muscle strengthening for longevity

A study published by the British Journal of Sports Medicine (2022; 56 [13]), demonstrated some benefits of using muscle strengthening exercises for longevity. The risk of heart disease, total cancer, diabetes, lung cancer and generally death from any cause linked with 10%-17% reduction with muscle strengthening activities. Moreover, 30-60 minutes per week of muscle strengthening activities had the maximum risk reduction.
